I am trying to create an account, but my date of birth is not being accepted. What’s wrong?
Many times we find that users are entering the wrong format when entering their date of birth. It should be month, day, then year (mm/dd/yyyy).
Also, please ensure that you are inserting the slashes (/).
In creating a password, I am asked to use a “Special Character”. What is that?
A special character is a non-alphabetic or non-numeric character, such as @, #, $, %, &, * and +.
What are the password requirements?
Your ISTS account password must meet the following requirements to be considered secure enough for use:
- Passwords must be at least 8 characters long
- Passwords must contain at least 1 upper case letter
- Passwords must contain at least 1 lower case letter
- Passwords must contain at least 1 number
- Passwords must contain at least 1 special character
When I enter one of my applications for scoring, the form is Read Only. How do I fix this?

One of the applications I am supposed to score is for someone I know. Should I still score that application?
Many programs have different scoring requirements. The score you see on the Home page may not be displaying due to the type of scoring you are working on. If you have verified your scores within the application, your scores have been saved. The score on the Home page is for display purposes only. If you are concerned about these scores not displaying, please reach out to your committee chair to verify with them the scoring and to see if that score should actually be displaying.

When I log in, I see no applications. Where are my applicants to review?
First, double check that you are using the correct log in credentials. You were most likely assigned credentials that end in @scholarship.ISTS. If you are using the correct login credentials, make sure you check the application review deadline. Once the deadline has passed, you will no longer see the applications on your Home page.
How do I reset my password?
To reset your password, or unlock your account, go to https://aim.applyISTS.net and click “I forgot my password.” Enter your email address you were provided for application review and click OK. If your login information ends in @scholarship.ISTS please refer to your instructions document for your password.
