LMJ Scholarship Program

The MCCA LMJ Scholarship grants scholarships of $10,000 to students for their first year of law school, including HBCU undergraduate graduates entering law school and students matriculating into their first year at HBCU law schools. In addition to financial support, LMJ scholars are connected with peers, alumni, and mentors, who are available to provide professional support over the course of their legal career.

Online applications will be accepted June 26 – August 21, 2026.

Herb Block Scholarship

Application Period: March 1 – June 1/November 10, 2026

The Herb Block Scholarship provides financial assistance to students of all ages to attend community colleges in the Washington, D.C. metro area. Offered by The Herb Block Foundation, this program helps ~100 students each year gain access to higher education they could not otherwise afford. Applications are due in June for the fall semester and November for spring semester.

Riding Forward Scholarship Contest

Current Application Period: July 1 – September 30, 2026

The 2026 Regions Riding Forward Scholarship Contest invites high school and college students to submit a video essay or traditional written essay on someone they know, someone in their community who has helped them find the confidence to reach higher. Regions is awarding four $8,000 scholarships each Quarter.

Stephen J. Brady Stop Hunger Scholarships

Application Period: August 20 – October 20, 2026

The Stephen J. Brady Stop Hunger Scholarship recognizes student leaders creating innovative solutions to end hunger. Recipients receive an academic youth scholarship and a grant to continue their efforts.
