Spencer Educational Foundation Scholarships

Spencer is dedicated to promoting innovation in the field of risk and insurance by providing financial assistance to talented students. The scholarship program supports Undergraduate, Graduate, Ph.D. and Pre-Instructor of Practice students pursuing studies in risk management, insurance, actuarial science and related fields in the United States and Canada.

Since 1980, Spencer has invested over $9.5 million in the Scholarship program, with awards to over 1,500 students.

The application deadline for most awards is January 31, 2025.

  • AWS Cloud Institute Learner Grants

    Next Application Period: January 13 – February 15, 2025

    AWS Cloud Institute is a virtual cloud skills training program for any adult learner looking to become an AWS cloud developer and launch their cloud career in as little as nine months. Through the AWS Cloud Institute Learner Grant program, AWS seeks to make quality cloud education affordable and accessible by reducing cost as a barrier.

  • CollegeCounts Scholarship

    Application Period: December 1, 2024 – February 28, 2025

    The CollegeCounts Scholarship was established to provide funding assistance to Alabama high school students with demonstrated financial need to attend college for the betterment of the student and the state. Scholarships are determined through an application process and awarded for a student’s freshman year only.

  • Garden of Dreams Inspire Scholarship Program

    Application Period: December 2, 2024 – January 19, 2025

    Each year, Garden of Dreams grants $60,000 Inspire Scholarships to 15 high school seniors, to be used across four years at the college or trade school of their choice. Inspire Scholarships are exclusive to students affiliated with one of the Garden of Dreams Foundation Partners who are high school seniors or entering their first year of undergraduate studies at the time of application submission.

  • Institute of Food Technologists (IFT) Scholarships

    Application Period: January 6 – February 28, 2025

    The Feeding Tomorrow Fund of IFT offers a variety of academic tuition scholarships for freshman, undergraduate, and graduate students. IFT is committed to actively addressing barriers to access to education and science, especially for those who have been impacted the most by food inequity.

  • Jimmy Rane Foundation Scholarship Program

    Application Period: December 1, 2024 – February 7, 2025

    The Jimmy Rane Foundation was established with the purpose of sending deserving students to college. This program is open to high school seniors and college freshmen/sophomores that reside in the following states and the District of Columbia: Alabama, Arkansas, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maryland, Mississippi, Missouri, Nebraska, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia or West Virginia.

  • McDonald’s HACER National Scholarship Program

    Application Period: October 17, 2024 – February 6, 2024

    The McDonald’s HACER® National Scholarship Program offers scholarships up to 30 outstanding Hispanic students from all over the country and continues to provide educational opportunities to help narrow the gap that exists for Hispanic college-bound students.

  • Regions Riding Forward Scholarship Contest

    Application Period: October 1 – December 31, 2024

    The 2024 Regions Riding Forward Scholarship Contest invites high school and college students to submit a video essay or traditional written essay on someone they know, someone in their community who has helped them find the confidence to reach higher. Regions is awarding four $8,000 scholarships each Quarter.

  • SCAC Scholarship Programs

    Application Period: October 18, 2024 – February 1, 2025

    South Carolina Association of Counties (SCAC) awards $65, 000 annually in scholarships to rising college freshmen who will be attending an in-state technical school, college, or university. Students must reside in one of the following counties to be eligible to apply: Allendale, Aiken, Bamberg, Barnwell, Beaufort, Charleston, Chester, Edgefield, Hampton, Lee, Sumter, Union, York.
